Dr. Aris Nikas has been practicing medicine in San Antonio for ten years.  He earned his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati.  Dr. Nikas completed his training in Internal Medicine at the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in 1989.  He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine as well as Palliative Care.

Dr. Nikas has a special interest in patients with Diabetes, Heart Disease, and high blood pressure, and has the distinct honor of being awarded and recognized as one of The Best Doctors in America from 2005-2010. Dr. Nikas was also recognized as a Top Doctor in San Antonio 2009 by other medical professionals.  His personal philosophy emphasizes the importance of preventive care and education.  He is a firm believer in the benefits of proper diet and exercise in preventing disease.  Dr. Nikas is fluent in Spanish, Greek, and Romanian.  Dr. Nikas is married to Laura and has two children.  He looks forward to meeting you and discussing your healthcare needs.
