Richard S. Reyna, M.D.
Board Certified in Internal Medicine

Dr. Richard S. Reyna is a native of San Antonio and a graduate from Thomas Jefferson High School.  He received his Bachelor's degree in Human Biology at Stanford University.  "Dr. Richard", as he is known by his staff and patients, received his medical degree at the Stanford University School of Medicine.  He then devoted three more years of training in the Internal Medicine Residency Program at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.  Dr. Richard has been practicing Internal Medicine near downtown San Antonio in the same location since 1988.

Dr. Richard is honored to have been selected to serve on the faculty of the Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio since 1989, and has been recognized with several awards for his participation in the education of future physicians.  Dr. Richard recently received The Doctoral Achievement Award 2009 for his outstanding community service and expertise in his selected profession. He has been awarded with the position of Professor of Clinical Medicine from the Medical School in San Antonio.  Dr. Richard has been recognized as a Texas Super Doctor 2009 and a Top Doctor in San Antonio 2009. Dr. Richard also has the distinct honor of being recognized as one of The Best Doctors in America from 1996-2010 by other medical professionals.  Dr. Richard continues to serve as President of HealthTexas Medical Group since 1994.  He is married to Faye and is very proud of his two children, Richard and William.
